'Trojan cat strikes again': After a Night of Drinking, Two Friends Befriend a Wholesome Stray Cat , She Proceeds to Give Birth on Their Couch

We all have lots of stories from going out drinking. Sure, those days are loooooong behind us, but back in the day, we used to paint the town red. However, in all of our years of partying, never did something like this happen to us. The cat distribution system seemingly added a 'bonus plan' for these two friends, who after a night of drinking, befriended a wholesome stray cat on their way home.

The two friends left the door open for her, and they woke up to a surprise. Six surprises, actually! The fuzzy feline they 'adopted' last night was actually pregnant, and decided to give birth on their couch. Apparently, there is a term for this (which we just learned today): a trojan cat - when a cat befriends you and ends up being pregnant with lots of other cute kitties!     That is the most wholesome story we've ever heard, especially after drinking. Nothing that cute ever happened to us. It usually ended with tears and pizza.

My husband and I took one of the kittens and it was to this day the most awesome cat I've ever had. We believe it was because he spent the first 9 weeks of his life in a college apartment. Very social and laid back.

    I also befriended a stray cat 9 months ago, then in May it gave birth to 7 kittens in my backyard storage room. I gave away most of the kittens and kept one as my new pet. This picture was in May when the kittens were about a week old.

For anyone out there who likes cat genetics, she looks to be a black spotted tabby tortoiseshell, and I believe the kittens are two ginger spotted tabbies (possibly one with low white spotting), one black spotted tabby (possibly tortoiseshell but not sure), and one blue spotted tabby- this means that she carries the dilution gene, and the father carries it as well!

    Low-Neighborhood 2031. 13 hr. ago This is great! You hit the friggin cat lottery ✔! But now here's some advice to help you :) First of all look up kitten care guides on yt. Don't touch or hold them a lot. When you need to touch them use gloves. The reason for this is because kittens have weak immune systems when they are under 2 weeks old.

    Weigh them everyday (with gloves). Make sure they are nursing properly. If they are not nursing properly you can use kitten formula. If they are not nursing correctly and u do nothing they might die. Also check their temperature every couple of days.

    Beware of Fading Kitten Syndrome. Fading Kitten Syndrome is when kittens become suddenly ill and lethargic. This is a kitten killer. Here are the symptoms: low body temperature, lethargy, excessive crying, separated from littermates, decreased appetite, weight loss, labored breathing or breathing with mouth open. If you catch FKS early they might survive.
